Process
In order to complete the assignment, there will be a team of 3 detectives to help research the six different theories.
Detective One:
Orbital Change theory
Volcano
theory
Detective Two:
Disease theory
Supernova
theory
Detective Three:
Climate Change theory
Giant impact theory
Each detective will tell the group about their theories and what they discovered. As a team, they will decide which theory is true. Then, they will make a presentation to present to the Police Chief and all of the police department. This will consist of:
1. A written report about the different theories and the theory that the team chose.
2. A visual aid (poster, chart, 3-D model...) describing all the different theories and a visual aid of the theory that the group chose.
3. Present it to the class (police department). The police department will then decide if they believe the groups theory or if they believe in another theory.
4. Finally, you will be graded by your teacher according to the rubric written on the evaluation page.
