Welcome
to the home of all things deg!
I was born
and raised in upstate South Carolina and graduated from Furman
University in 2001. Currently, I'm tracking down a Ph.D. at the
University of Georgia with teaching and research interests in
twentieth century America and its cultural, economic, and religious
history. My forthcoming dissertation examines how Christians engaged
in business in the U.S. South and Southwest have shaped the course
of modern American religion, politics, business culture, and globalization.
My wife Jenna
and I live in Athens with way too many books, several guitars,
lots of cookware, a cat named Feral, and our precocious son William.
