Skills and Strengths

  • Technologically inclined; proficient with managing both PC and Macintosh computers. Experience with networks, internet, website development and maintenance, and digital imaging and manipulation. Proficient with many programs including Microsoft Office, Macromedia Studio, PowerSchool, and educational software titles including KidPix and HyperStudio.
  • Completed five semesters of college Spanish and three years of high school French and have traveled extensively in the United States, North and Central America, and Europe.
  • Artistic with experience in sculpture, ceramics, technical drawing, graphic design, and photography.
  • A motivated, organized, open-minded, patient and personable team-player, always willing to take on new challenges.

Volunteer Work

  • Assisted in child-centered programs through the ASAPROSAR program in Santa Ana, El Salvador.
  • Volunteered as a facilitator at the Building Bridges Conference for promoting diversity in Saint. Peter, MN.  
  • Tutored primary grade students in reading at South Elementary School, and planned and assisted in a Service Learning Project at St. Peter High School in Saint Peter, MN.
  • Taught and assisted in childcare and Sunday School at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Norwell, MA.
  • Assisted in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, and a pre-school summer camp, participated in the Walk for Hunger for 10 years, and organized a book drive that donated books to urban shelters.
