UGA's Department of University Housing Visit this site to see how other UGA housing areas are organized and to compare the housing services offered to undergrad students with those services offered to family and graduate students.
UGA's Residence Hall Association (RHA) All other UGA residence associations belong to this student organization. They have a great deal of political power on campus as well as financial support. They in turn belong to state and national organizations which are working to improve the housing conditions of universities. Most major changes in UGA Housing are initiated and driven by this organization. FGHC hopes to gain voting power in this organization during the Spring 2002 semester.
National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) This national organization has many resources all available to FGHC. Resources include a wealth of training videos, pamphlets and contact information with other organizations. They also hold conferences dealing with national University Housing issues. Their entire goal is to help university residents establish and maintain effective residence associations.
Cornell Law School- Legal Information Institute This is a great site on National and Ohio State Tenant Law. It gives overviews of the national standards for tenant/renter relationships. Be sure to scroll down the "menu of sources" on the right hand side. Under the title "Other References" select the link titled "Know Your Rental Rights!" http://www.law.cornell.edu/topics/landlord_tenant.html
