Here is my family, the youngest of us, Cooper-Smith (after Mini Cooper), poses with Jina, and Porsche poses with David. We named both dogs after cars...we also had a dog named Sadie (after Mercedes). Porsche is a 4-year-old basset hound and weighs about 55 lbs, and Cooper, the Chihuahua , is a little bit over a year and weighs about 10 lbs.

About a month ago, we decided to keep both of them together on our front porch. We were worried at first because we thought Porsche is too big to be around Cooper for any accidental incidents...you never know. But now, we know they will be just fine. Ironically, Cooper took over and became most dominant of the two – just think about how funny it is when Cooper growls at Porsche over food or attention and Porsche steps back...considering how much bigger Porsche is as you can imagine...it is REALLY funny.
As you can see in the background, this is the main floor of our house plan that we picked out and customized with our builder. We took the harder path when we decided to become homeowners and hired a contractor to build a house for us. I made it blurry on purpose because I didn't want you to really “look” at where things are in my house. It is a small country house on a 5.6 acre lot – we live in a rural area. If anyone needs to know how construction loans work in this area, how to deal with builders etc., please feel free to drop me an e-mail and I've got lots of stories to share with you.

Back to the point...
Since I came from South Korea years ago, my side of the family still remain in South Korea. My dad and younger brother live on the beautiful island of Jeju-do , and my younger sister lives in a college town like Athens, Cheongju-city, with her husband and a newborn daughter. We recently visited my family in Korea in May 2005.

My husband came from a small town called Chickamauga in North Georgia – about 15 minutes south from Chattanooga, TN. He has both parents living and two older brothers, and all of his family reside in the area. From the brothers, we have three nephews – Jonathan, Henry and Eli – and one niece, Jessica.
