Standard 4: Program Administration

School library media candidates administer the library media program in order to support the mission of the school, and according to the principles of best practice in library science and program administration.

  • Comprehensive and Collaborative Strategic Planning and Assessment

Mastery of Standard 4:

The Access Enabler Project documents and manages equipment to provide efficient access and use of technology. MARC records can be entered into a database to ensure accountability and analyze current and future needs of equipment and technology intergration in the classroom.

The Internship Log describes various funding sources employed through the "Love a Book" campaign and Barnes and Noble customer weekend for Osborne students and staff. The log details the reading council's development, collaboration, and installation of it's first school-wide reading incentive program.

The Selection Policy supports intellectual freedom and Library Bill of Rights through it's Authorized Use Policy. The media specialist collaborates with the media committee in the selection of materials that align with the local school's media program guidelines.
