The Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Association is an organization of UGA Law students interested in the various aspects of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law, including (but not limited to) patent prosecution, patent litigation, copyright and trademark transactions and litigation, and agency law; we also work closely with the Sports Law Society. Our primary event is the Patent Panel, held each year, usually in October, but there is absolutely no requirement that one have a technical background to pursue a career in IP law. In addition to the Panel, we have other events and activities throughout the year, and are always open to good ideas, wherever they may come from.
