Hong Yu

I come from China and am so lucky to work in this group.

I am a PhD graduate student major in textile chemistry. This is my first year to study in UGA. Before I came here to study, I did many research projects in chemistry. I had one-year working experience on organic synthesis. I am also good at polymerization and textile process. Now I am doing some research on microorganism transfer from carpet to skin. Learning microbiology is a new challenge for me because I have no biology background before. It is interesting and I think I like it.

At my free time I like to go Ramsey Center to play badminton and table tennis. Soccer is my favorite sports. And since I came here I also like football very much.

I like imagination so I love “Harry Potter” novel very much.
