How I got started:
Sewing first came into my life when I was a little girl, and one of the ears on my big red toy mouse lost its lining. My Dad got one of my Mother's slips and cut out a circle, and stitched in a new ear lining. "Amazing!", I thought. (I don't know what my Mom thought about the slip incident though...) Throughout the years I watched my Dad and Grandma sew on their old Singer machines, and I hand-sewed some little pillows and things. When I got into high school, I had a sewing class, and was hooked for life...
I sew an extreme variety of things, from furniture to regular clothes to outrageous costumes. Here I'll focus on the most fun stuff- Costumes!

Historical costuming has been a passion of mine for years. I enjoy recreating historically accurate garments and also creating new "historical-style" costumes. Here you can view some of the costumes I've made for myself and others and get some information on how to make your own.
Cosplay is costuming as Anime, or Japanese Animation characters. Anime costumes are my latest obsession, and they are so FUN! Here you can see costumes I've made for my family, friends, and myself, and see what I am working on currently.
Science Fiction and Fantasy costumes are also some of the most fun to make. I've been addicted to SF since I was a kid and first saw Star Trek. After Star Wars came out, I never stopped wanting to really BE those characters. Here you can see some of my efforts to make that dream come true.
Are you curious to see what I am sewing right now? I always have many projects going on at once, not just for me, but for many of my friends as well. Come and have a peek!
I am constantly compiling a list of resources for costumers of all kinds (lots of stuff I wish I had found when I first started costuming...). If you're looking for something specific, or aren't sure what you need, or just want to get lost in some Very Interesting costuming information, just check this out!
