Mayukh Dass

I am an Instructor of the MMR program at the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. I hold a PhD in Business Administration, M.S. in Artificial Intelligence and an M.S. in Statistics from The University of Georgia. I also hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Power from Nagpur University, India.

My research domain centers on pricing issues in dynamic environments such as Online Auctions. My dissertation investigates the effect of two interesting bidder phenomenon such as Dyadic Bidder Interactions and Overbidding on auction outcome. Other broader issues currently pursuing include:

  • Bidder Analysis: How does the competition among bidders evolves during an auction? What are the effects of key bidders on the auction outcome?
  • Price Formation Analysis: How price formation evolves during an online art auction? How different market factors affect the price formation process?
  • Art Market Analysis: How Art markets are formed? What factors influence the diffusion of an unexplored art genre in the market? How to determine Art market structure using bidders' purchase intent?

I also have interest in analyzing and modeling Art Markets, particularly Modern Indian Art. Please visit ModernIndianArt.net for more information. Other research interests include pricing issues in B2B cross-selling and consumer contract issues in Telecom Industry. If you are interested or have questions on any of the above research field, please do not hesitate to contact me .
