My roommate, Brett Welch asks,
"Who does IT?"
Many people are involved with Instructional Technology at many times in
its use. Obviously, Instructional Technologists are the primary users
of Instructional Technology. According to Donald
P. Ely, most Instructional Technologists take part in various components
of IT including designing instruction, producing instructional materials,
or managing instructional systems. Traditionally, many Instructional
Technologists have been employed in institutions of learning such as schools
or colleges. However, Instructional Technologists have recently been
getting more involved in the world outside of education. Businesses
and industries are increasingly using Instructional Technologists to train
and manage many of their systems within their realm. Although I have
not been in the program quite long enough to learn of the many well known
Instructional Technologists, I anticipate to have the opportunity in the
near future.
find numerous names of Instructional Technologists. Dr.
