Quotes

(Just words—but good words. That’s where ideas begin.)

Maybe you got the message that I seem to love quotes. Why exactly I do, I don’t know. I love all kinds, as long as they're good: witty, funny, deep, motivational, and, especially, libertarian.
I’ve been collecting them for a while now, from all kinds of places: books, internet sites, and my own personal experiences in hearing comedians, sports figures, television shows, movies, and songs.
I tried to include no more and no fewer quotes than I think belong, and that entails choosing only the ones that have something unique—or, at the very least, profound—to say or say it in a unique way.
However, it is painfully clear that I have far too many quotes, so don’t hold that against me. I have so many quotes, I have a quote about my quotes collection: “The majority of those who put together collections of verses or epigrams resemble those who eat cherries or oysters; they begin by choosing the best and then end by eating everything.” (Sébastien Chamfort).
At least I divided them into five sections. I have many pages of individual people’s quotes, so hover the cursor over the authors’ names to see if they link to their own pages!
