Join us Thursday nights at 7PM in Phi Kappa Hall.

The Phi Kappa Literary Society is a debate society, located at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

We meet once every academic week to engage in debate and also to deliver creative writings and orations. While we do enjoy contentious debate and intellectual stimulation, the ultimate goal of Phi Kappa is the mental and moral elevation of its members. Through time spent on the floor, we sharpen skills vital to success in the professional world. Through time spent in the Hall, we forge bonds of friendship that will last a lifetime.

A typical meeting begins at 7PM with a prepared debate (the topic of which is announced here) followed by creative writings and orations. The meeting then moves downtown for refreshments and an opportunity to socialize, and concludes with lighthearted auxiliary debate. There is more information about the Society on the guests page, but ultimately, the best way to find out about Phi Kappa is to attend a meeting and decide for yourself. Guests are always welcome and never obliged to speak.

We look forward to seeing you in the Hall.
